Message from the Minister

We are now embarking on a challenging path to restore stability of Sri Lanka in the face of an unprecedented economic crisis in recent history.Our priority should be on sustainable foreign investment and export promotion. The Ministry of Investment Promotion is implementing positive plans to achieve these objectives.

The main objective of the Ministry of Investment Promotion is to raise the standard of living of the Sri Lankan people, make a big transformation in the social and industrial sectors, to attract foreign investment as per the national requirement through a culture of technological innovation culture,  promote innovations and exports, earn foreign exchange by increasing tourist attraction, export value added products, bring in  high-tech companies with the aim of creating more advanced technological employment opportunities for the youth and  make a direct contribution to the national economy.

Institutions such as Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Colombo Port City Economic Commission, Colombo Port City Development Project, Techno Park, Colombo Lotus Tower Management Company Private Ltd, Information Technology Parks are working hard to achieve these objectives.

I appreciate the service of the State Minister and all the officials who are dedicated to achieve these objectives. I also take this opportunity to commend the service of the all the staff including Heads of the institutions under the purview of the Ministry who are working more dedicatedly to accomplish the tasks assigned to the Ministry.
